Vendors Comments:
The site has been home to a water garden nursery for over 40 years. Originally Rowden Gardens the owners bred water irises and often showed at Chelsea flower show. There is a national collection of Rowden named irises on display at RHS Rosemoor. The recent owners took over 8 years ago and built the house which had to look like the original stables under planning. They changed the nursery name to Tor Garden Plants, opening by appointment only during the summer. It was featured on Gardeners World in 2021.
It has so much potential as a nursery if someone wanted to follow that direction and the owners will be happy to help with that. If that is not of interest then the nursery is really one established mature garden teeming with wildlife and full interesting plants. Many times been opened for charity and open gardens days.
