Shebbear is a village you have probably heard of, but are not entirely sure why. The College is world renowned, so is likely to be the reason. It has an excellent reputation and is one of the many reasons people wish to live there. Other reasons include the community, pub, excellent walks, shop (which has all the essentials) the mobile post office, primary school and parks. So, everything a family might need or want.
The home too has, (to my mind) everything a family might need or want. It has a large sociable kitchen with dining space and direct access to the garden, a cloakroom which doubles up for coats and shoes, a dual aspect living room which also has access to the garden. In fact, both sets of doors are connected by the deck which offers additional living and dining space, given the weather to do so. The first floor offers four bedrooms of very reasonable proportions, the master with ensuite shower room, and a family bathroom. There is an attached garage and driveway parking and better still, it is situated privately at the end of the cul-de-sac.
The garden. It is not traditional in the sense that it is not a level rectangle or square with three sides of 6 ft fencing surrounding it. It is not small either. It is balanced in size, but wider than it is long. Private is definitely a word to describe it. Peaceful too as the babbling brook below marks the boundary. The garden backs on to and overlooks adjoining fields. The trees are the neighbours? and can (with permission) be kept lower if desired, but a wall of green is pleasant to look at and offers some shelter from the elements too. The decking is a superb addition and is much more than a nice place to sit, eat and enjoy the view. If you have young children, or grandchildren it is safe and enclosed. The park around the corner offers more play space, but the benefits of less work in the garden and more time to sit and enjoy the children growing up is becoming more and more important it appears. Worth thinking about.
There is no chain with this home and it is available to view as soon as you are. We look forward to meeting you there at your convenience.
