Additional Information

Tight Corner Cottage certainly isn?t the sort of home that the name could imply. You would be forgiven however on the approach to the front door as bar a window, that is what you see. Once stepping into the cottage you can see why appearances can be deceiving as you really now get a sense of what is on offer.

The farm house style kitchen is very well appointed and even has enough space for a dining table. There is a beautiful Marland brick floor and exposed beams and really add to the character feel of this lovely home. From here you pass through a wood panelled door into a quite simply stunning living room. The main feature that immediately draws your eye is the exposed brick fireplace with oak beam and a log burning stove. There is a lovely little window seat as well as plenty of space for a two piece suite and a handy under stairs cupboard for your storage needs.

Unusually for this kind of home you will find two double bedrooms upstairs, a real plus especially as one even boasts an ensuite. Both bedrooms ooze character with sloping low ceilings, low level window sills and panelled doors. On the landing there is a very pretty period wooden storage cupboard and draw and well as an airing cupboard with modern water tank. A separate bathroom, re-fitted with a white suite and a heated towel rail complete the internal tour.

Tight Corner Cottage also boasts outside space with a lawned detached garden a short walk from the square which is ideal for unwinding in the warmer months or a place that can be forgotten if the need arises. This beautiful home would be ideal as a first time purchase, downsizing move or even as is currently used, an occasional holiday cottage.

Directions

From Torrington proceed in a southerly direction on the A386 signposted Hatherleigh / Okehampton and after approximately 3 miles upon reaching the site of the former Gribble Inn (now New Homes) on the right hand side, take the right hand turning signposted Peters Marland / Petrockstowe / Shebbear. Continue along this road passing the Tarka Trail Car Park and Yarde Cafe on your left, then after passing the farm on your right, continue straight on towards the village of Petrockstowe. Pass the crossroads and head into the village and past the public house on your right. The cottage is found in a horse shoe of similar homes after a short distance on your left.
