Additional Information

We are delighted to offer back to the market this realistically priced, character rural home - all interest and offers are invited. No Onward Chain.

Beautifully presented, largely renovated and extended period cottage with far reaching rural views and characterful accommodation with pretty cottage garden set in a peaceful but accessible rural location close to good walks and beaches.
The original cottage dates from 1800s, the property is not Listed and has been sympathetically renovated and extended by the current owners. It is a surprisingly large and most attractive cotttage with many period character features including areas of exposed stone, ceiling beams and large wood burning stove in the lounge. These features have been combined with modern comforts such as new oil fired heating, new electrics throughout, large new wooden farmhouse kitchen and double glazed windows.
The cottage has been tastefully and recently extended to offer a large family home. The newly added large master bedroom, has a juliette balcony overlooking the countryside. fully opening full length doors and a charming modern ensuite, the property also offers a large landing space and three further double bedroooms all with stunning views -plenty of room for guests to stay here ! Downstairs, is the original large lounge with period features, a separate large dining / further sitting room with views, wooden flooring throughout. Leading from the lounge is the heart of this house, a newly extended large farmhouse kitchen in pale blue wood with all built in appliances and stunning country views, with double sized stand alone range cooker, this room is a perfect entertaining space. The downstairs is completed by a quirky large original bathroom with bath, shower and double sink - great opportunity for conversion to a large wet room. Whilst the property has been renovated beautifully and extended over the last few years, there is still scope for final finishing in some of the original areas, allowing buyers to put their own stamp on this lovely country home - we highly recommend an early internal viewing to fully appreciate the size and character of this countryside home.

The private, south facing, stone walled front garden with willow trees and original well / pump is a pretty suntrap, including a small patio, level lawn and a number of fruit trees - perfect scope for the counry gardener. To the rear is a second area of garden laid as shingle with more space for parking, attached storage shed and large wood cabin, great for use as an office. music room etc..
The cottage has captivating far reaching views from many aspects of the cottage and keen walkers will enjoy local walks across neighbouring fields, the Tarka Trail long distance footpaths also offering carefree walking and cycling.

Nearby services are located in Holsworthy with excellent doctors surgery, schools and Waitrose. Beautiful beaches accessible within 20 minutes, while the A30 for commuting, visiting relatives also within 30 minutes.
