Hidden in plain sight in the heart of this pretty North Devon village directly opposite the church is this stunning example of a period home. I am completely undecided as to whether I love this house more because of its period looks and features, being located a short stroll from both of the village public houses, shop and post office, its large garden or the fact it has been restored and improved to meet 21st century expectations.

Often property seekers in the South West have a very specific set of wishes when they move to the area. In their minds eye they will often be looking for a character home in a village with parking, a short stroll from the pub and have a sunny garden. From Torrington proceed in a southerly direction on the A386 signposted Hatherleigh/Okehampton and upon the leaving the town at the bottom of the hill turn left onto the A3124 signposted Winkleigh/Exeter, stay on this road passing through the village of Beaford whereupon reaching Dolton Beacon garage on your left hand side take the right hand turning signposted Dolton. Proceed into the village taking the third right turn into Fore Street. Continue towards the Royal Oak public house turning left by the shop into Church Street where the property can be found after a short distance with a for sale sign and name plate clearly displayed.
