When I stood outside 19 Carnegie North for the first time I immediately thought that this would be a lovely place to call home for a number of reasons. It was a clear blue day and the direct views of the distant countryside instantly caught my gaze. It was a gentle reminder of the natural beauty of our Torridge area and what we are able to enjoy thanks to where we live. Westward Ho! and its famed beach and pebble ridge, Abbotsham and its stunning cliff face and, of course, Appledore and its divine estuary views – all only a 5 minute drive from this property's ideal location in Northam. The location is also peaceful, with only the gentle sound of the soft breeze or birds chirping being heard and little to no noise from any nearby roads. My pleasant first experience of the property was only enhanced further by a number of neighbouring residents wishing me good morning as I approached the property. To me, this is a simple yet comforting way of knowing that there is a welcoming and friendly community spirit throughout the Carnegie apartments.
The first demographic which came to mind for this apartment was those of the older generation – someone who is looking to downsize to a low-maintenance property, yet one which still carries sufficient internal space for comfortable living. The fact that the apartment is located on the Ground Floor, leaving no issues with accessibility and within walking distance to amenities and bus routes only furthered this initial thought. On further contemplation, it quickly became apparent that there were no reasons as to why a younger buyer wouldn't be equally interested in the property. As briefly mentioned, the property is located centrally for Bideford, Westward Ho!, Abbotsham and Appledore – meaning a commute to any would be very prompt.
