If you are looking to get away from it all and enjoy the glorious North Devon countryside then this delightful cottage could be exactly what you are looking for. Nestled on its own amongst the patchwork quilt of farming fields a short distance from some inviting thick woodland on a warm summers day, you will be immediately transported to that happy place of relaxation. This then lends itself as the ideal home or holiday retreat, which ever you see fit.
The cottage is equipped with all the features you would expect from a period home such as exposed stone walls, beams, an open fire and a log burning stove. This then in turn compliments the modern features added over the years to include a kitchen with fitted appliances, central heating, double glazing and a separate bath and shower room.
Outside is where you will want to be however and that?s not detracting from the cottage itself but it is just such a lovely spot you will want to breath it in. To the front is a paved driveway providing off road parking that provides access to the larger than average garage. The rear is a two tiered garden, predominately laid to lawn but with some attractive flower and shrub beds and a handy stone built wood store. From all aspects of the gardens you have some quite splendid views across adjoining farmland to the countryside beyond. All in all, Higher West Heanton Cottage in Buckland Filleigh is one of those not to be overlooked.
From Torrington proceed along the A386 (New Street) towards Bideford and upon leaving the town turn left onto the B3227 signposted Langtree/Holsworthy. Turn left here sign posted " Buckland Filleigh and Petrockstowe". Carry on until the road forks left and right bearing left signposted "West Heanton". Follow this road for approximately 600 meters where the cottage can be found on your left hand side, shortly after the care home.
