Additional Information

Where to start with such a unique cottage in one of Great Torrington’s most popular surrounding villages. There is a lot to take in when viewing such a home but by far the stand out feature for me is the garden. Let me start out by saying the garden is detached which for some can be an issue. I will be honest, I was in the same mind-set until I stepped into one of the most amazing and distinctive gardens I have personally seen.

The current vendors have spent a lot of time landscaping and improving the garden over their tenure and I must say that the beautiful feature of a root cellar built into the hill has to be my favourite. There is a built in bbq to the right, that’s flat area is the perfect surrounding pace to sit with family and friends alike, alfresco dining with the country views whilst enjoying the Devon sunshine. Over the different levels within the garden not only will you find yourself indulging in the views more and more but you will see the structure within the garden. If you are into growing your own produce then you will love the greenhouse set almost perfectly to get the sun throughout the day. At the top of the garden there is a timber outbuilding currently used as a home boxing gym however this is a great space to use for a multitude of purposes.

Inside the cottage you have all the character you would expect. The living room has exposed ceiling timbers and a feature fire place. Throughout the cottage there are quirky curved and irregular walls as you would expect from such a home, which for me just add to the appeal. Upstairs comprises of two bedrooms, both of which are doubles as well as a three piece bathroom. Next to the home is the detached garage with a shower room on the ground floor. Above the garage is a studio room that would make a great home office for whatever your needs require.

Only by visiting this beautiful home will you really experience its full potential, so give us a call now and we will be happy to show you around to imbed what you see on paper in the flesh.

Weare Giffard is a pretty village and follows the course of the River Torridge. Within the village there is the Holy Trinity Church, Village Hall and well regarded public house “The Cyder Presse”. The village is just 2.4 miles from Great Torrington and 7 miles from Bideford which offers a wider range of amenities for all your needs.

Directions

From Torrington Square take the Well Street exit and at the road junction take the left into New Road, at the mini roundabout with the Fire Station directly in front of you take the left towards Bideford and take the second right hand turning into School Lane signposted Swimming Pool/Weare Giffard, staying on this road passing Torrington Golf Club on your left hand side, upon reaching Weare Giffard, passing over a little bridge and take the next turning right. Follow the road for a short distance until you see the property on the left hand side with a name plate above the door.
