Additional Information

If you are looking to get away from it all and settle in a lovely village environment then this could be the one for you. You may even be looking for a second home for weekend breaks for the family or even an investment as a holiday let. Which ever route you are looking to take, Hoopers Cottage has you covered. The current owners have themselves done a bit of each, primarily on the side of the Holiday let for which they are happy to pass on the portfolio for the next owner to continue should they so wish. The village really lends itself to romanticise the idea of a move or stay in Devon with its public house being voted the CAMRA North Devon pub of the year for 2020, its close proximity to the coast and Moors as well as the RHS Rosemoor local attraction.

The cottage is tucked away off of the beaten track up a lane close to the heart of the village allowing you to enjoy the community whilst also being able to detach yourself as you see fit. Inside, Hoopers Cottage oozes character and charm throughout and is a wonderful space to relax and unwind. There is a log burning stove set in a stone built fireplace allowing for those cosy winter nights in with a glass of your favourite tipple. A modern kitchen complements the home and enjoys a built in double oven and hob as well as a handy breakfast bar. The cottage has three good sized bedrooms which is ideal for an expanding family or even those that work from home as one could easily double up as a home office, leaving the dining room table free for meal times. Two toilets are always handy and there is one on each floor here. "It has it all" I hear you say, but there?s more! Outside, Hoopers Cottage is as equally impressive and boasts a smashing lawned garden and raised patio, a wonderful space for a bit of al-fresco dining and entertaining. At the top of the garden is a raised area with two outbuildings both with power and light, ideal for storage of your garden furniture in the winter months or all set up ready to make into a home office or studio. From here, you enjoy a view over the fence tops across the adjoining countryside.

If all that isn?t enough you also have a garage that widens at the rear into a former piggery with a service door into a courtyard garden to the front. In front of the garage is a shingled area providing parking for two cars. All in all this is a lovely versatile cottage with no onward chain that must be viewed quickly to avoid disappointment.

Directions

From Torrington proceed in a Southerly direction on the A386 signposted Hatherleigh/Okehampton and at the bottom of the hill turn left onto the A3124 signposted Winkleigh/Exeter. Stay on this road until entering the village of Beaford taking the first turning right by Yew Tree Cottage. Hooper cottage will be found after a short distance on your right hand side.
